The Hey Cards series introduced in the Fall 1979 generation: Each deck
of 25 (or so) cards is a programmed, multi-sensed learning exercise and
stems from the author's direct insights in Community Classroom regarding
topics relating to the course. Hey Cards constitute the creation of
community folklore that members know and share. This acts as a common and
general background knowledge which provides members with a source of
assumptions, presuppositions, allusions, metaphors, analogies, value
implications, and so on.
