The Analysis of Relationship

Role Types:

fine sense of humor (Mike; Stacy)

worrier and motherly role (mom)

never talks unless adressed by someone (dad)

add opinion (me)

Pair Types:

friendly to one another (Mike; Stacy)

question exchangers (mom; dad)

consults each other (mom; Stacy)

The exchanges that occured during the conversation were one of simplicity. By this I mean that the conversations were neither complicating nor controversial. This added to the speakers relationships in that everyone were able to speak freely and openly. In otherwords, one could look at the discussion as a period for everyone to relate their personal thoughts and feelings about certain occurences that happened to them with each other.

The Analysis of the Setting

The conversation between the speakers were carried through originally, in the kitchen. The other settings were expressed while the speakers were talking to one another. Such as, the beauty-shop of where Paulette, Stacy, and myself cut our hair, Stacy's store that her parents use to own, the store next to Wiki Wiki Coffee Shop where mom saw spareribs that she wanted to buy and eat, mom's beauty-shop, and the movie that I went to see. These are most of the settings talked about.

As each topic was switched there were usually an appropriate setting corresponding with it. This enables the listener to fully be able to follow along with the speaker.
